Nice Trip With Interesting Experience! =)

HAPPY LABOUR DAY to Every Employees! =)

1/5/2011 - Labour Day (Sunday)
With my family except my sis,
I went to Perak for a one day trip!
(my sis went Kelantan to support the comp)

We went Perak to visit papa's friends
One of them is an Indian and suprisingly,
I greeted her in Tamil and say goodbye to her using Tamil!
hahax... feeling proud although i just knew how to speak a few words in Tamil XP
My dad, mum n bro were suprised too,
they thought i just simply talked that few words in Tamil incorrectly and who knows!
My papa Indian friend replied my greeting using back Tamil!
(means she knew what am i talking )
it seems that i really know how to speak in Tamil =P hahax
But actually i just learnt a few words during my National Service XD

My papa's chinese friend then took us to a newly built temple...
It is quite new as it is built just a few years ago...
The temple is called 霹雳珠宝善学院(孔圣庙)a.k.a. Kuil Seen Hock Yeen
It is situated in Chemor , Perak.
once u go in to pray,
u will experience some unique tradisional custom !
It is worth going that temple for a visit=)
It is goodly mantained
As it is a sacred place for Buddhist,
i can only took a few shots, focusing on that temple's sceneries
(as to pay respect)

those who hope for confidence and wish to success in study, work or even love lifes can go in and pray to be blessed by the Gods...
there is one place where the statue of 孔子爷is individually placed
infront of that statue there is a big table made of wood
on top of the table are many different types of sweets placed in transparent boxes
there is also a super duper big plate placed on the centre of the table
below the wood table is a big hollow space supported by two table legs
According to the pro aunty,
we who want to wish for something about studies
we should go round below that table for 3 rounds
(for male is go round the right table leg while for female is go round the left table leg)
then my papa friend de children ,my bro n i guai guai follow the custom
I and my bro same time go round our respective place
"am chiou" while going round for three rounds
as it is very "paiseh"
people waiting at the back of us and all the eyes are focusing on us...=D
My parents am "am chiou" too as they saw i n my bro got a bit 狼狈bending our body
walked round the table legs
then each of us was asked to take two sweets in that plate
Based on my papa's friends explaination,
normally those who are sitting for major exams such as SPM or PMR
there will be a special event for them (same as Penang Milk God Temple)
that event will be organised seven days before the exams
then every students have to round the table either left or right based on their genders
then they will be asked to take 7 sweets back home...
every day eat 1 sweet till the exam day arrives
then everything will be 顺顺利利 and will score good grades in exams =)
after taking the sweets, we need to follow the path showed by the aunty,
we passed by a mirror with a basin
we were asked to look into the mirror individually and pray 3 times
if not mistaken, the purpose of doing that is to chase away all bad things that surround us

next, we walked outside the temple hall and
then go n buy each person 1 packet of 檀木
each packet cost RM6
then we follow the uncle incharged to walk the respective route
praying many gods along the way where god statues are placed
As a student, we were encouraged to pray the 文昌大帝 =)
there are 月老 too!
according to the uncle,
those who not yet marry or finding partners
can come infront of 月老and pray for 姻缘
there will be two bowls of sweets
1 represents female and 1 represents male
those who wanted to find true partners
have to take 1 sweets from the respective bowl and eat it
Male will take the sweet from the bowl that represents female and vice versa
After eating the sweet,
that true partner will appear soon and
that person will has good relationship with him or her
=) interesting right?
the last route was we had to walk across a bridge while praying in our heart
wishing for anything in our heart
NO talking or chit-chating when we were crossing the bridge
we were also asked to 靠左走 while walking along the bridge
Then finally
Done praying!
=)

We had our lunch in a restaurant nearby
Saying goodbye to papa's friends,
we went to my aunty's house
then we went to a fruit stall and bought a lot of fruits back
we actually planned to have a walk in Jusco, Ipoh
but unfortunatelly there is a heavy traffic jam oustide Jusco and it is raining heavily
so we have to change our plan...
We went Queensbay Mall , Penang after putting all those fruits at home
Saw many other states de car while finding a place to park as 1/5 is Labour Day =)
went Qsbay Mall to buy papa's hiking shoes and mama's Mother Day present!
Papa bought mama a pair of earings =)
My bro, my sis and I will be responsible for the lunch on Mother Day ^^
While buying mama de earing, I have a suprise present too!hahax
My parents bought me a pair of earings as a present for my SPM results =)
I like it very much! thanx papa mama ^^

Thats all for the day!
Again, I enjoyed that day very much !=)

Here is some photos i took that day >>>

I like this fruit very much but i dunno what is it called in English... i only knew it called 红毛榴梿... Anybody knows?

Took this photo while traveling in Perak...

Ta dang! This is the temple i described just now!

Wide and big right? There are lots of lotus plant growing in the lake...=)

Goodly mantained compound =)

Nice temple!

With a huge lake =)

There are lots of golden fishes inside the lake too!

Again,  the temple is really big...

Before i leave the temple, i saw this crowd... they came from Penang, Butterworth and Kedah =)

The crowd

She is the one who build this temple..telling stories and explain something bout the temple..
they said that she dreamt bout god and the god told her to build this temple in this place..
if not mistaken, she is a teacher..
